“Bring the Men and Make it Sexy” – new Sonke poster highlights findings from Gender Analysis for Microbicide Introduction

“Bring the Men and Make it Sexy!” – these were two of the main findings of a recently concluded countrywide analysis of the gender related issues that could hamper or accelerate the introduction of and access to an ARV based vaginal gel that has the potential to protect women from HIV.

This Sonke poster, being showcased at this week’s 20th International AIDS Conference in Melbourne, details more of the findings that could help governments and stakeholders ensure that the gel, should it be introduced, reaches those most in need of additional HIV prevention options.
