She always rises to challenges she is confronted with and strive to give her very best in every activity she’s tasked with.
Lebo is doing an internship at Sonke in the Child Rights and Positive Parenting unit where along with the team; they are responsible for developing a curriculum that enforces gender sensitive and responsive strategies in antenatal facilities, to increase the involvement of fathers in supporting maternal and infant health.
This complements Lebo’s master’s research whereby she’s looking at inequalities in access to maternal health care in SADC countries, focusing on equity stratifiers such as household wealth, the level of education attainment of the mother and father and employment status.
Apart from being a full-time student, Lebo holds the position of Secretary-General for the Postgraduate Health Sciences Student Council (PG HSSC).
