Sonke will be screening three short films at the Labia Theatre, Orange Street in Cape Town on Saturday March 1st from 4:00pm to 6:15pm. The screening, entitled “Sex Through the Lens – Transforming Gender Attitudes through Film,” looks at how film is able to influence, challenge and even change public opinion and discourse around gender, sexuality and human rights.
Sonke is a South African-based non-profit organisation working throughout Africa. We believe women and men, girls and boys can work together to resist patriarchy, advocate for gender justice and achieve gender transformation.
