Please find attached the schedule of panels and events at which Sonke delegates will be presenting during the 20th International AIDS Conference (IAC) this week in Melbourne.
If you’re at the IAC, please look out for our delegates and also for our MIND THE GAP stickers bringing attention to the urgent need for health systems to actively engage men in HIV testing and treatment.
We look forward to interacting with you.
Please note that Ntando Yola (from the Desmond Tutu Foundation) will be presenting on behalf of Tian Johnson (who will no longer be able to attend the conference) at the Men’s Dialogue – Incentivising the foreskin to win in HIV prevention: What strategies can we use to improve and sustain the uptake of VMMC in Africa?
We also wish to again express our shock and sadness at the news of the Malaysian Airlines flight that was shot down en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, killing hundreds of people, including many on their way to the International AIDS Conference. We share our heartfelt condolences with all of our colleagues, partners and friends affected, and with the loved ones of all of those who died. It is a great loss for the community that works to combat HIV and AIDS, and a deep personal loss for so many of us.
