Charleshas an impressive track record in the fields of public health grant making and business development. With over 12 years of experience in SRHR/HIV (sexual and reproductive health and rights/HIV), business development, youth entrepreneurship, human rights advocacy and grant making and fundraising, with special interest in domestic resource mobilization, he has made significant contributions to these areas. Charles’ expertise in grant-making and domestic resource mobilisation demonstrates his ability to secure funding for organizations and projects. Youth and Community Mobilisation, Capacity Development, youth entrepreneurship and human rights advocacy highlight his commitment to promoting social justice and empowering marginalized communities. Charles’ dedication to these causes speaks to his character and his passion for making a positive impact in society.

Charles is a highly qualified and experienced professional with a diverse range of skills and expertise. He has been involved in efforts to combat HIV/AIDS and promote public health more broadly, and has held multiple positions related to public health fundraising in Uganda. Specifically, he’s the Presidential appointed Commissioner for Youth at Uganda AIDS Commission under the Office of the President, a member of the Uganda Country Coordinating Mechanism (UCCM) for the Global Fund representing public interest, and a Junior Research Fellow with Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs. He holds an MSc (Informatics), an honors degree in Software engineering, and lots of intensive training in multi-sectoral programming and various public health related topics and he has presented at several National and International conferences and provided capacity building workshops, specifically in Grant Making, health and community systems strengthening, strategic project planning and sustainable livelihoods programming.
