Donovan Muller

Donovan Muller is the Executive Director of Accenture. He joined Sonke’s Board of Directors in 2011.

Donavan completed a MSc (Energy Engineering) at the University of Cape Town in 1988. He joined Accenture in 1988 as a graduate and was admitted to Accenture Global Partnership in 2000. He works across various South African and international industries and currently leads the TGP (Technology Growth Platform) in the Resources Client Service Group. His current focus is on the growth of Accenture’s Outsourcing Business Application & Infrastructure and Business Process outsourcing. Other focus areas include Organisational Performance Management, Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Resource Management and Information Technology enablement.

He has eight years of editorial experience in the area of print and online technical communication:

  • Appointed chief coordinator on the A. Datum Corporation Editorial Board
  • Developed, researched, and delivered on time the A. Datum Corporate Style Guide
  • Wrote specifications for the Editorial Request Tool, an innovative design using Visual Basic to enable the efficient submission of requests to the A. Datum Corporation Editorial Board
  • Managed the editorial department at Consolidated Messenger for more than four years, which consisted of four employees who provided editorial coverage to the company’s then 21 writers.
    Directorships

Donovan is Director of Akha Trust, the Black Empowerment Trust which owns 30% of Accenture in South Africa, Director of Enablis SA (Pty) Ltd, a non-governmental organisation, responsible for promoting and growing entrepreneurship amongst small start-up businesses and ventures in Southern Africa. He also played a key role in the expansion of Enablis into East Africa, where they have just opened an office (shared with Microsoft Africa) in Nairobi, Kenya. He is on the Board of Trustees for Kolbe House, one of the student residences at the University of Cape Town.
