Kanyanta came to Sonke with over 11 years of work experience in the NGO industry and had worked on various donor funded projects, including USAID, PEPFAR and UKAID. He previously worked for various international organisations including World Vision International where he was involved in Grants compliance and capacity development, planning, training, coordinating and facilitation of the implementation of capacity building assessments to partner organisations. He was also involved in the development of organisational capacity building strategies and plans to support identified needs, deliver Organisational Development training and provide customised mentoring at organisational and individual levels.
Kanyanta also worked for VSO International where he performed a key role in providing technical assistance and support to organisational partners within Southern Africa Region. He has vast experience in risk assessment and mitigation, performance monitoring including annual reassessments of the organisation and its partners to ensure quality is maintained and milestones are met.
He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration and a USAID Grant Certified Accountant.
