Kathleen Tang, who prefers to be called Kat, is currently working as an intern at Sonke. She will be with the organisation for two months from June – “ July 2010.
Kat is a second year student at Harvard University studying Social Anthropology with a secondary in Visual Environmental Studies (an art minor). This is her first experience working with a social justice organisation, but she has long been interested in what can be done against gender-based violence for a long time and sees working with Sonke as a great way to find some answers and help those who need help the most.
At Sonke, Kat is working within the Communications and Strategic Information unit assisting with taking photographs and recording videos from our project activities as she is also a keen photographer.
