Liveson Manguwo started as an Environmental Liaison Officer for a recycling company in 2006 before joining West Coast Environmental Cooperative as a Projects Officer from 2008-2010. He also worked for World Vision South Africa as a Development Facilitator for the Atlantis Advocacy and Education projects between 2011-2012 after which he became Design Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (DME&R) Specialist for the Cape Region from 2012 to 2014.
His main area of interest was to identify and facilitate planning and policy making strategies that ensure sustainability and holistic human development. He believed that at the core of this task lay the need to continuously reflect and learn on which progressive planning, monitoring and evaluation techniques to apply, when to apply them, and how to apply them to ensure progressive policy shifts and transformational development for the present and future generations. To him, this entailed strategically engaging in the policy space, networking, collaborating and creating dialogue that allows communicative action appropriate to context.
