Myrte de Wit

MenCare Intern

Myrte de Wit is a Master student at the faculty of Social Sciences at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. She obtained her Bachelors degree in Psychology in 2013 and started a Master programme in Child and Youth Psychology.

Her passion within this field lies in the work with adolescents, adolescent risk behavior and adolescent delinquency. Besides her studies, she has worked for the Dutch Institute of Psychologists and assisted in research at the Dutch Institute of Forensic Psychology and Psychiatry.

In the Netherlands, Myrte volunteered for the YMCA in summer camps for young people with behavioural disorders. Her research internship at Sonke focussed on the effects of the MenCare intervention especially for youngsters and young fathers.
