Zuziwe Yvonne Shwane

Yvonne is a passionate community mobiliser who makes it her duty to ensure that everyone is treated equally and with dignity.  She was trained as a community action team member at Sonke in 2012. Prior to this, Yvonne was working as a volunteer at Sothemba Aids Action. Yvonne is also a trained HIV counsellor.  Yvonne, like others at Sonke hopes that the work of the organisation with her contribution will make a positive change in communities and people’s attitudes towards gender and HIV.  It is her dream to one day have healthy and happy communities.  Yvonne’s aspiration is to work towards becoming a social worker to assist especially the most vulnerable people in our society.
