On May 22, Sonke Gender Justice in collaboration with other civil society partners hosted a roundtable discussion on positive policing.

The Positive Policing Partnership (‘the PPP’) focuses on identifying advocacy opportunities to establish and support innovative civil society, policing and government collaborations to catalyse positive change in the operational policing experience of sex workers through dialogue, policy interventions and actions.

The programme also included the screening of Sonke’s documentary: “Don’t Beat Me Around The Bush” which highlights the health and safety risks sex workers face when their basic human rights are denied.
