This event will honour youth innovation in transforming communities and shaping lives through the close -out of the Human-Centred Design (HCD). It will highlight the essence of the collaboration, revolutionary thinking, and resilience by youth leading to landmark community impact.
The gathering will showcase creative initiatives like the Safe Haven in Uganda , a pilot innovation addressing teenage pregnancy in Kalangala District. While young videographers trained by PowerToYouth capture the story of adolescent girls and young women’s empowerment, the initiative also involves safe spaces for male engagement on contraception use and family planning. Moreover, the Safe Haven HCD constitutes the training of health workers on offering youth-friendly services and supporting them to make informed decisions and choices about their sexual reproductive and health rights.
