Nexus Youth Initiative, Sonke Gender Justice and Straight Talk Foundation will convene a youth-centred side event at the World Health Summit 2026 to explore how global commitments can translate into meaningful action for women, children and young people.
The session will spotlight FGM/C and child, early and forced marriage as interconnected health equity and gender justice challenges, while highlighting community-led solutions.
Bringing together youth leaders, civil society, policymakers, health-sector actors and advocates, the event will focus on strengthening accountability, advancing youth leadership and scaling evidence-informed, gender-transformative approaches.
The session will culminate in a Youth Accountability Agenda on Health Equity and Harmful Traditional Practices, outlining priority actions for governments, donors and health-sector stakeholders.
Together, we can move beyond declarations to meaningful, community-led action.
