MenEngage Madagascar held its annual general meeting (AGM) on the 7th of February 2020. The meeting looked back on the work that it did in 2019 as well as discussed and presented MenEngage Madagascar’s action plan for the year 2020.
The first quarter of the year will focus on the following:
- Capacity building activities for members;
- Preparing for, and hosting, the first Men Engage Madagascar Symposium, which will be held under the theme “Men and boys for gender equality”; and
- Recruiting new members to join the network, with the aim of having representatives in all regions of Madagascar.
MenEngage Madagascar Youth also held its general assembly on the sidelines of the AGM. The youth meeting focused on sexual harassment and inducted new members who have recently joined. They also discussed and presented a Youth Action Plan that is aligned to the network’s plan.
Men Engage Madagascar currently has 23 member organisations – a significant growth from the 10 members that it had when the network was formed in 2016.
