Founded in 2006, Sonke is a women’s rights organisation that is committed to feminist principles, using a rights-based and gender-transformative approach to achieve human rights and gender justice. Our vision is a poverty-free world in which women, children, men and gender non-conforming individuals enjoy equitable, caring, healthy and happy relationships that contribute to the development of gender-just and democratic societies. Sonke strengthens governments, civil society and citizen’s capacity to advance gender justice and women’s rights, prevent gender-based violence and reduce the spread of HIV and the impact of AIDS, and in this way contribute to social justice and the elimination of poverty.
About the position
Sonke seeks to recruit an M&E Intern to be based in the Maseru office. The M&E Intern will be responsible for capturing data from various source documents and partners for storage, processing and management purposes.
Responsibilities
- Accurately input data into Sonke database systems, ensuring completeness and correctness.
- Verify data for errors or discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Meet deadlines for data entry tasks while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of data entry processes and procedures.
- Execute any other task as instructed by the supervisor.
- Collection, transcription and collation of learning agenda data (will include field travel)
Qualification
- Minimum – Degree in Social Sciences
Experience
- Proficient typing skills with high accuracy and speed.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Familiarity with data entry software, such as Microsoft Excel or database systems.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing requirements.
- Respect for confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations.
