Bongani Hlatshwayo is Sonke’s Resource Mobilisation Administrator. Hlatshwayo is a skilled project and administrative personnnel with over seven years of experience specialising in grant management, youth empowerment, and governance. As a YALI alumnus, he has successfully led portfolios at Activate Change Drivers, enke-Make Your Mark, and Love Alliances through ARASA and AIDSFonds and recently at the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality.
In recognition of his contributions, he was named one of Africa’s Top 100 Brightest Young Minds. He is also the founder of the Klerksdorp Youth Leadership Talk, a transformative platform where over 200 young people collaborate with socio-political and business leaders to address pressing challenges, develop innovative and sustainable solutions, and forge impactful partnerships through networking. He is affiliated with the South BRICS Youth Association and Generation Democracy Network.
Currently pursuing a degree in Education, Hlatshwayo is working towards his ultimate goal of earning a PhD in Educational Law. His dedication to empowering youth and driving change is a testament to his vision of a more equitable and prosperous future for all.
