Launch of the first ever State of the World’s Fathers Report

Sharing pictures from today’s launch of the first ever #StateoftheWorldsFathers (SOWF) and #StateofAfricasFathers Reports in Nairobi, Kenya. Both reports, produced by Men Care, a global fatherhood campaign coordinated by Sonke Gender Justice and Promundo, with #Rutgers, Save the Children and the MenEngage Alliance as Steering Committee members, provide periodic, data-driven snapshots of the state of men’s contributions to parenting and caregiving globally and in Africa by addressing four issues related to fatherhood: unpaid care work in the home, sexual and reproductive health and rights; maternal, newborn and child health; men’s caregiving and violence against women and children; and child development.

The reports define a global agenda for involving men and boys as part of the solution to achieve gender equality and positive outcomes in the lives of women, children and men, themselves.
