Sonke congratulates Sonke co-founder and Senior Programmes Specialist, Bafana Khumalo, for his nomination for the Leading Women of Africa Champions Award. The award is bestowed on a man who has shown great and courageous leadership in championing gender equality and the rights of girls and women in Africa. The awards ceremony will be held in Durban, on the 3rd of December.
Sonke is a South African-based non-profit organisation working throughout Africa. We believe women and men, girls and boys can work together to resist patriarchy, advocate for gender justice and achieve gender transformation.
