Dr. Mosiuoa Ramakoele

Dr. Mosiuoa Ramakoele is Sonke Gender Justice’s Gender Equality and Social Inclusion, GESI advisor based in Lesotho. A dedicated gender expert committed to achieving social and gender justice. He has extensive experience in advocacy, coordination, community mobilisation, and stakeholder engagement and management. He has led the programming on the inclusion of men and boys as strategic allies in the prevention and response of violence against women and girls. His deep cultural repertoire has shaped and brokered dialogue around LGBTIQA+, disability inclusion, and safe abortion in Lesotho. He has facilitated the coordination of the Anti-GBV Forum and successfully built the capacity of stakeholders in the prevention and response of GBV using transformational approaches. He holds Honours in Gender Studies (UNISA), MSc in Gender, Sexuality and Society (Birkbeck University of London), and PhD in Public Management (Durban University of Technology). Dr. Ramakoele commits his efforts to the realisation of a society where Gender Justice is a reality.
