Dwaine Fish

Project Coordinator

Dwaine Fish, is Sonke’s Project Coordinator within the Community Education and Mobilisation unit based in Northern Cape Province. Fish is a Development Practitioner with more than 7 years of experience in the community and youth development sector with a key focus on facilitating, training and mobilisation. 

Fish is a BA Development Studies graduate from University of Johannesburg and is currently doing a BA Honors through UNISA. He has a keen interest in Human Rights and International Development. He is the founder of an Edu-sports Program named Academy of Sparks in Kimberley and is a staunch supporter of Orlando Pirates FC.

Fish enjoys road running with the goal to run the Comrades marathon one day. If Dwaine is not involved in sports activities, he is spending his time reading, with a keen interest in African literature, and one of his favourite books is Nervous Conditions by Tsitsi Dangarembga.  Fish’s superpower is being able to connect people with opportunities.
