Jacob has an extensive track record in the NGO sector. He has been in Monitoring Evaluation and Learning leadership positions at FHI360, Wits Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS Institute, and Anova Health Institute. Apart from leading Monitoring Evaluation and Learning units at the aforementioned organisations, Jacob also worked extensively in the region in various capacities with organisations such as AIDS and Rights Alliance for Southern Africa (ARASA) and African Men for sexual health and Rights (AMSHeR) where he led the country-specific implementation of Human Rights, HIV, and TB programs across Southern and East Africa.

Jacob strongly believes that research and capacity strengthening positions organisations to perform effectively and efficiently. He has a track record in ensuring data-driven decision-making to increase organizational performance, impact, and sustainability. Currently, Jacob holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Developmental Studies with a Specialisation in Human Rights from Africa Research University (Zambia), a Master of Public Health from the University of South Wales (UK), a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership from the University of Derby (UK), a Post Graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from Cavendish University (Zambia), a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health from Roehampton University (UK), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Management and leadership from Brighton School of Business and Management (UK).
