Advocate Lerato Caroline Khutlang is an admitted Advocate of the Courts of Law in Lesotho, specializing in International Human Rights Law. She holds an Honours Degree in Law, which she obtained from the National University of Lesotho Faculty of Law in 2019. She has more than 4 years of working experience, advocating for the rights of marginalized groups and providing capacity building to private sectors, government sectors, civil societies and diplomatic missions. She has a strong acumen in gender based violence prevention and post care services.
She prides herself with her impeccable ability to mobilize stakeholders at an international level, national level, regional level as well as community level. She is a highly experienced litigant who has even advised the Constitutional Court of Lesotho as an amicus curiae (Friend of the Court). Not only does she have a strong passion for research and writing but also, she aspires to be a published author. Furthermore, she is very knowledgeable in monitoring and evaluating data that communicates gender statistics. Amongst others, Adv. Lerato Caroline Khutlang is a highly experienced public speaker with good research, communication and analytical skills. Above all, Adv. Lerato Caroline Khutlang is a humble young lawyer who is always willing to learn. Lastly, she has a burning interest for artificial intelligence and she is currently expanding her knowledge in this field. She hopes to invent a software that will completely eradicate gender-based violence perpetrated against LGBTQI + people. Her motto is “ I came, I saw and I concurred. ”
