Lily Nelson Michael Taban is Sonke’s Assistant Programme Specialist based in Juba, South Sudan. Fluent in English and Arabic, In 2004 She Joined South Sudan Radio and TV as presenter where by she become a producer of the Road to election programs as well as a corresponded to Khartoum monitor then after she was promoted to become a producer and a news anchor then hold a position of the editor in chief for SSTV station, she was later promoted to Deputy Director of Programs at the South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation.
She has served as editor in chief for Voice of Women Magazine (VOW) and is one of the founders of the Union of Journalists of South Sudan and the Association for Media Women in South Sudan. Taban has obtained several certificates in media such as Educational Program, Ethics of Journalism, Covering Diversity, News and current Affairs, Phone in and Discussion Programme all this with BBC World Service Trust.
