Runyararo Mutariswa (Runya) is Sonke’s Regional Sexual Reproductive Health Rights Coordinator. A Programme Management Specialist with experience managing and coordinating HIV, SRHR, gender and GBV programmes. She has an extensive background working with young people, women and community leaders to facilitate positive changes in communities. Runya is passionate about gender justice, improving outcomes for women and girls as relating to health and social protection, and working with men to shift harmful patriarchal norms for healthy lifestyles and positive relationships. With over a decade of enhancing capacity of community-based volunteers and over 5 years’ experience building capacities of CSO and CBOs, Runya believes in approaching work with communities with a belief that communities have the capabilities required to birth change given sufficient information, in compassionate and respectful ways that value diversity and respects contextual nuances. Runya is a mother and enjoys spending time with her family.
