On World Refugee Day (20 June 2018), Sonke Gender Justice and the residents of Gugulethu and Salt River gathered together to acknowledge the lived experiences of refugees and encourage the South African government to respect migrant and refugee rights.
Sonke is a South African-based non-profit organisation working throughout Africa. We believe women and men, girls and boys can work together to resist patriarchy, advocate for gender justice and achieve gender transformation.
