Engaging men for gender equality in rural Maharashtra

In this paper, Ahankari Shashikant and Ahankari Anand from the Halo Medical Foundation detail their organization’s use of community based monitoring (CBM) to strengthen government healthcare systems in rural Osmanabad district in India. The paper evaluates the impact of the combination of community mobilization, a rights based approach, and consistent dialogue with government healthcare providers and stakeholders on maternal and neonatal health outcomes.
