Power To Youth: A Transformative Journey Towards Inclusive Empowerment

Driven by a conviction that young women should lead the decisions affecting their own bodies and futures, the Power to You(th) programme (2021–2025) has transformed how youth agency, gender justice, and civic action intersect. Led by Amref Health Africa alongside Sonke Gender Justice, Rutgers, and CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality, and backed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this five-year initiative placed adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in underserved communities at the very center of systemic change across Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Senegal, and Indonesia.
