The 2nd MenEngage Africa Symposium was recently held in Maputo, Mozambique. The symposium brought together a network of gender justice activists, NGOs, government leaders, policy-makers and other actors working with men and boys on the African continent, to share best practice, learn and discuss issues such as the interaction of feminism and masculinities, as well as how youth can be engaged in the fight for gender equality.
Below symposium attendees answer the question: Why is it important to engage men in the fight for gender equality in Africa? And offer advice to anyone wanting to contribute to a gender just world
