Community centric approaches to ending everyday sexism

To scale up debate on activism to end Everyday sexism, Sonke Gender justice’s Community Education Unit and LUX SA hosted a 2 part dialogue series on “Community-centric approaches to ending Everyday sexism.”  The panel debate aims to  deliberate the root causes of ES, problems faced by victims of sexual harassment violence at the grassroots level, especially at community public spaces, and suggested measures to ensure rehabilitation of sexist behaviours in society. For the first leg of the discussions, Jozifm spoke to Sonke’s Senior Trainer Thembelihle Madi and Agisanang Domestic Abuse Prevention and Training (ADAPT)’s Project Manager Sidwell Sehoana.
