Sonke is very proud to be this year’s Civil Society Award runner-up in the Mail & Guardian annual Drivers for Change/Investing in the Future awards.
Mail & Guardian reporter Iwan Pienaar wrote a summary of Sonke’s work, which you can read here. This year the winning organisation was Enke: Make your Mark, a youth entrepreneurship organisation that is creating a network of young South Africans to take action on urgent social issues.
Sonke is a South African-based non-profit organisation working throughout Africa. We believe women and men, girls and boys can work together to resist patriarchy, advocate for gender justice and achieve gender transformation.
