Today, 15 March 2016, Dean Peacock, Sonke’s Co-Founder and Executive Director, will speak at a conference to launch the “Global Study on UN Security Council Resolution 1325: Strategies for Implementation”, at the 60th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW60), which is being held at the UN headquarters, in New York.
This study is released at a time of momentous self-reflection and change within the UN and provides a roadmap for the UN to strengthen its responses to conflict, and to ensure that these responses reflect women’s perspectives and engage women’s leadership.
