The launch of the State of the World’s Fathers and the State of Africa’s Fathers Reports in Nairobi, Kenya, coincided with a MenEngage Africa meeting of Men Care and children’s rights partners from 13 countries. These organisations integrate the gender transformation work that the MenEngage alliance supports with work on children’s rights and parenting.
A few examples among many were the lessons in engaging media that the Men and Boys for Gender Equality team from Botswana had to share, the exciting momentum of MenEngage Namibia, shared by Women’s Solidarity Namibia, and the children led coalition organised by Hiwot Ethiopia. During the launch of the reports, MenEngage Africa members were also involved in a few interviews with the media agencies that were present.
